Fact: Every day I hear from a parent who has studied Real Love and then used the principles in real life with their children. 

I never tire of hearing about the miracles that follow—sometimes they happen immediately and sometimes not for months. BUT THEY HAPPEN!

A mother wrote:

Today was the first day of school for my kids, and I found myself thinking about the first day of school one year ago. They whined loudly that they didn't want to go to school, and I thought the problem must be the school, the teachers, and their friends. The kids certainly told negative stories about all those people. 

But one day it occurred to me that my kids whined when they were at home, blaming each other and me and many other things. Hmmm. Maybe it wasn’t about school. Maybe there was something deeper.

So I looked for help and found the Parenting Training. The more I studied, the more I realized that my children were whining and unhappy because I had never known how to love them. I did not like that insight, but I couldn’t deny it either. I studied, got help from other parents, and applied what I learned.

Today, a year later, my children said they were looking forward to school. There were no problems getting ready to leave home. They did everything themselves, and they sat by the door five minutes before it was time to leave. That never, ever happened in the past. And anybody can see that they’re happier. They hardly ever whine and complain at home anymore either. They do their morning chores without being nagged. What a relief.

We have a happy family now because I was willing to see that “their” problem was really me. We still have difficult moments, and I’m sure there will be mornings when they won’t want to go to school. But we’ve already figured out what to do on those mornings. I hug them and kiss them and remind them, "Mommy loves you, God loves you, there's nothing to be afraid of, and you can choose to be happy." Sometimes I tuck a small photo of myself into their pockets, and they pull it out during the day to remind them of my love.

I’m so grateful that I learned about unconditional love. I’m grateful that my children are happy. I’m grateful that I’m happy. All the learning and effort have produced a miracle.

Such miracles are available to all of us. And they will be different for all of us. But love is THE power in the universe, and it’s offered to us all.
